The seventh and final round of the Kick Energy Fiesta SportTrophy UK takes place next weekend at the International Rally Yorkshire, based in the picturesque town of Pickering. The event organised by the Trackrod Motor Club will see some of the competing crews tackle up to 90 miles of competitive stages in the classic forest complexes of Cropton, Dalby, Gale Rigg and Langdale. The FST event will be contested over the first four stages of the event covering 45 gruelling stage miles.

The sixth and penultimate round of the Kick Energy Fiesta SportTrophy took place over the weekend at the ToddsLeap.com Ulster International Rally, based in the city of Antrim. The event gave crews over 80 miles of excellent Northern Ireland stages and included a number of these ran in darkness on the Friday night. With the added bonus of the Irish Fiesta championship also competing at the event it meant some extra registrations to the UK series from some of the normal Irish registered competitors. At the conclusion of the event it was the familiar crew of Craig Breen (18) from Waterford and navigator Gareth Roberts that clinched victory also handing them title glory of the 2009 Kick Energy Fiesta SportTrophy as well as the title of the 2009 Irish Fiesta SportTrophy championship - a truly great weekend for the young pairing. The championship win will see Breen given the opportunity to compete in the IRC International Rally Scotland in November in the new Fiesta R2.

The event sees the FST continue its partnership with the British Rally Championship and allows competitors to compete in the dual format option of the FST series whereby registered crews can not only take part in the FST event but also the full two day BRC event or the double header BRC Challenge event. The FST event starts on SS1 of the event and finishes after SS10.

The fifth round of the Kick Energy Fiesta SportTrophy took place last weekend at the Manx International Rally, based in the seaside resort of Douglas on the motorsport mecca, the Isle of Man. The event gave crews over 80 miles of some of the toughest tarmac stages the infamous motorsport renowned island has to offer. At the end of the event it was the crew of Craig Breen (18) from Waterford and navigator Gareth Roberts that clinched victory also handing them the lead to the series overall.
