The second round of the Kick Energy Fiesta SportTrophy (FST) will take place next weekend at the first round of the British Rally Championship, the Bulldog International Rally of North Wales. The event run by the Wolverhampton and South Staffordshire Car Club will be the first event where the Kick Energy FST will take advantage of its multi event entry format with competitors given the chance to compete in either the full BRC International event or the shorter BRC Challenge event, whilst still scoring FST points regardless of the event they enter.

Kris Hall (19) won the first round of the Kick Energy Fiesta SportTrophy UK, the Malcolm Wilson Rally, by 54 seconds and finished 18th in the overall classification. The event is Hall's local rally, just a few miles from his Appleby home, making the Cumbrian a firm favourite for the win. However, not all odds were stacked in Hall's favour, as it was his first time he had teamed up with navigator Robbie Durant.

A unique award designed to reward competitors for their promotional skills has been launched by the Kick Energy Fiesta SportTrophy.
Competitors in the 2009 version of the UK's leading single-make rally championship will get the chance to have their event entry fee paid and increase their profile at the same time thanks to sponsors Global Brands and their Kick Energy brand.

The Fiesta SportTrophy (FST) 2009 has been officially launched this week by series promoters M-Sport - the team behind the BP Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally Team. After three successful years the championship sees some new changes for 2009, the main highlight being a move that sees the series run alongside with the pinnacle rally series in the UK - The British Rally Championship.
