WELCOME TO THE FIESTA SPORTTROPHY AND FIESTA SPORTCHALLENGE UK

M-Sport, the team behind Ford’s FIA World Rally Championship programme is delighted to bring, for a seventh consecutive year, the new look Fiesta SportTrophy (FST) and Fiesta SportChallenge (FSC) series’ to the UK for the 2012 season.

The Fiesta SportTrophy is a six round mixed surface championship which will start with the Sunseeker International Rally in Bournemouth and will run within the BRC. The series will follow the entire British Rally Championship for the the season and all the events will be of an International format. The series will showcase the established Fiesta R2, but also allow its successful predecessor, the GpN Fiesta ST, to compete alongside and new for 2012 the highly anticipated Fiesta R1.

The Fiesta SportChallenge (FSC) will run alongside the British Rally Challenge Championship. The eight round mixed surface series will start with the Sunseeker Challenge Rally, deviating straight after to attend the Malcolm Wilson Rally and then follow the next five events of the BRC Challenge with competitors having thier best six scores out of eight counting.

On-Event technical support for the one-make championship will once again come from Malcolm Wilson’s M-Sport Team who will attend each round with full parts support, and the championship will be administered from the Dovenby Headquarters.

M-Sport is offering a prize fund that will provide financial support for competitors in both series. The Fiesta SportTrophy will see the winner on each round receiving £500, down to £200 for third. The Fiesta SportChallenge will offer the winner of each round £500 down to £200 for third with both sets of prize money being split between cash and M-Sport credit. At the end of the season, the winner of the Fiesta SportTrophy will receive the opportunity for a test day in the Ford Fiesta WRC with instruction from a nominated M-Sport Driver.

The winner of the Fiesta SportChallenge will have the unique opportunity for a test day in a Ford Fiesta R2, Fiesta S2000 and a passenger ride in a Ford Fiesta RS WRC. Other prize options are available for both championships including various sponsor awards per round.
